The first stage of the three-stage crushing process, the coarse crushing stage, usually uses a jaw crusher or a gyratory crusher, both of which can effectively handle large pieces of ore. The second stage, the medium crushing stage, mostly uses a standard cone crusher, which can further crush the ore to a medium particle size. The third stage, the fine crushing stage, often uses a short-head cone crusher, which can crush the ore to a finer particle size to meet the needs of the ore dressing plant.
