Iron Ore Crushing Project Completes Technical Upgrade

An iron ore crushing project recently completed a production line technical upgrade, with the crushing section’s hourly output exceeding 2,000 tons, nearly doubling the pre-upgrade capacity and successfully achieving high-efficiency production goals.

Before the upgrade, the old spring cone crusher used in the fine crushing workshop faced multiple bottlenecks: its processing capacity could not match the mining scale, leading to low overall production line efficiency; the high recirculating load and return fines rate not only increased energy consumption but also affected the raw ore feeding speed; additionally, complicated maintenance and frequent downtime made it difficult to meet the requirements of continuous, high-intensity metal ore crushing operations.

To address these issues, the project introduced the HPT series multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crushers as a replacement. This equipment features a structure with a fixed spindle and an eccentric sleeve rotating around it, offering strong load-bearing capacity. Coupled with optimized crushing chamber and motion parameters, it significantly enhances output and crushing efficiency. Its laminated crushing principle utilizes inter-particle compression to achieve size reduction, reducing equipment wear while improving product particle size distribution and lowering the return fines rate. Furthermore, the fully automatic hydraulic system, equipped with sensitive iron release protection and an automatic clearing function, substantially reduces unscheduled downtime and ensures stable production line operation.

This technical upgrade effectively resolved the capacity bottlenecks caused by the original equipment, providing strong support for cost reduction and efficiency improvement in the mine.
