Recently, a 450 t/h limestone crushing and sand-making production line was put into stable operation. With a feed size of 0–40 mm, the line produces 0–4.75 mm premium manufactured sand and 5–31.5 mm crushed stone, mainly supplying nearby ready-mix concrete plants and infrastructure markets.
As the raw material feed size is already controlled below 40 mm, the project adopts a short-process configuration of secondary/tertiary crushing, sand making and screening, eliminating the conventional primary crushing stage. This not only reduces over-crushing and ineffective circulation but also makes the workshop layout more compact. The manufactured sand is shaped by a sand maker, featuring continuous gradation and adjustable fineness modulus, which helps improve concrete workability. The 5–31.5 mm crushed stone has well-controlled needle-and-flake content and can meet aggregate requirements for road bases and general building concrete. The simultaneous production of two products helps ease stockpiling pressure caused by slow sales of a single product.
In terms of environmental protection and operation, the entire line uses enclosed workshops and a pulse dust-collection system, with targeted dust control at screening and transfer points. Key equipment is connected to remote monitoring and automatic control, allowing O&M personnel to track bearing temperatures, motor loads and other parameters in real time and reducing the impact of unexpected downtime on continuous production. With its short process, dual products and controllable stone-powder content, this configuration offers a technical route that balances efficiency and flexibility for medium- and large-scale limestone aggregate projects.
