With global gold prices remaining consistently high, Mongolia’s abundant gold resources are attracting increasing international investment. Recently, a 200 tph gold ore processing project in Mongolia successfully completed its engineering design, core equipment supply, and installation and commissioning.

The crushing circuit handles a maximum feed size of 600 mm and produces an output size of ≤12 mm. It employs a three-stage crushing and closed-circuit screening process: primary crushing via a jaw crusher, secondary crushing via a single-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher, and tertiary crushing via a high-efficiency fine crusher, supplemented by vibrating screens to form a closed loop. The system is designed for a processing capacity of 200 tph, with actual stable operation reaching 210–220 tph.

Dump trucks discharge run-of-mine ore (sized below 600 mm) into a vibrating feeder, which uniformly delivers it to a jaw crusher for primary crushing to under 150 mm. The primary crushed product is conveyed to a cone crusher for secondary crushing, reducing the size to approximately 50 mm. The ore then travels via conveyor to a high-efficiency fine crusher, and the resulting mixture is elevated to a vibrating screen. Material larger than 12 mm is returned to the fine crusher for re-crushing, while material ≤12 mm (the qualified product) is conveyed to a fine ore bin for subsequent ball milling.

This three-stage crushing process offers high efficiency and uniform output, achieving the “more crushing, less grinding” objective and significantly reducing the workload on the downstream ball mill.
