Chrome ore has high hardness and strong abrasiveness (Mohs 5.5–7.5), suitable for layered crushing (jaw crusher + multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher), with the finished product supplied to ball mills or gravity separation equipment.
Lamination crushing significantly reduces over-crushing and the generation of fine slimes compared with impact crushing. Fine slimes can interfere with gravity separation processes such as spiral chutes and shaking tables. This closed-circuit process provides stable particle size control, helping improve downstream concentrate recovery. It is a proven solution for chrome ore processing.
All crushing liners are made of mining-grade high-manganese steel or high-chromium alloy. Hydraulic overload protection and automatic tramp iron removal for the cone crusher help reduce unexpected equipment damage and unplanned downtime. Closed-circuit circulation also reduces energy consumption caused by unnecessary repeated crushing.
Flexible product sizing and capacity adjustment are achieved by changing screen meshes and adjusting the cone crusher’s discharge setting. The plant can produce 0–10 mm material for grinding feed or lump ore for smelting, depending on project requirements.
