As the global aluminum industry chain shifts toward resource-rich regions, Guinea, with its abundant bauxite resources (over 40 billion tons) and advantageous geographical location, has become a hotspot for international aluminum industry investment. This proposal addresses the design of a modern alumina plant with an annual output of 1.2 million tons in Guinea, balancing efficient production, energy conservation, environmental protection, and localized cooperation.
Equipment Selection:
Jaw Crusher: PE1200×1500, processing capacity 800-1000t/h, primary coarse crushing to ≤200mm.
Impact Crusher: PF1214, secondary fine crushing to ≤30mm.
Homogenizing Stockpile: Circular pre-homogenizing stockpile, φ80m diameter, storage capacity 100,000 tons, equipped with a German Siemens automated material distribution/reclaiming system.
Technical Highlights: Two-stage crushing + intelligent homogenization ensures stable bauxite particle size and composition.
The equipment selection balanced the cost-effectiveness of Chinese manufacturing (60% of the equipment was manufactured) with the reliability of European and American technology (key components were imported).
The design incorporates a buffer for production capacity fluctuations during the rainy season, adapting to Guinea’s climatic conditions. Upon implementation, the project will significantly increase the added value of regional minerals, support Africa’s industrialization, and set a benchmark for Chinese equipment and technology exporting overseas.
