The factors affecting the screening efficiency of vibrating screen

(1)The nature of the material

1.The shape of the screened material

The shape of the screened material will affect the screening efficiency of the vibrating screen. The shape of the material is spherical and it is easy to pass the screening; while the strip, sheet or polygonal material is more difficult to pass through the square hole or round hole of vibrating screen. This will affect the screening efficiency of the vibrating screen.

2.Sieving materials are easy to sieve

Easy sieve particles refer to particles that easily pass through the vibrating screen. The screened materials contain easy sieve particles and obstructive particles. Obstructive particles can easily block the sieve holes and affect the screening efficiency of the vibrating screen. Therefore, the higher the content of easy-to-screen particles in the screening material, the higher the screening efficiency of the vibrating screen.

3.The moisture content of the screened material

The higher the water content of the screened material, the stronger its adhesion, so it is prone to agglomeration, which leads to blockage of the vibrating screen and reducing the screening efficiency of the vibrating screen. Therefore, materials with high moisture content can be dried before screening to reduce the moisture content of the materials.

(2)The nature of the sieve surface

1. Vibrating screen mesh shape

Different shapes of sieve holes have different sieving capabilities. Therefore, when selecting sieve holes, pay attention to the particle shape of the material to be sieved and choose a suitable sieve hole shape.

2.The opening rate of the vibrating screen

The opening rate is the ratio of the sieve area to the screen surface area. The larger the opening rate of the vibrating screen, the higher the screening efficiency and the stronger the production capacity, but it also has the shortcomings of short service life and low strength.

3.The size of the vibrating screen

The screen surface length ratio of the vibrating screen should be between 2.5~3. If the aspect ratio is too large or too small, it will affect the screening efficiency of the vibrating screen.

4.The inclination angle of the vibrating screen

The inclination angle of the vibrating screen is generally 0~25°. If the inclination angle is too large, it will affect the screening efficiency of the vibrating screen. If the inclination angle is too small, it will affect the production capacity of the vibrating point, so the inclination angle should be between the appropriate angles.
