Basalt is a basic extrusive rock, the main components are silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide, iron oxide, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide (and a small amount of potassium oxide, sodium oxide), of which the content of silicon dioxide is high, About 45% to 52%.\r\n\r\nBasalt has high silicon content, hard texture and good compressive strength. It is a high-quality sand and gravel aggregate raw material, but it is also difficult to be crushed, and has high requirements on the hardness of the machine. If the equipment is not properly selected, the wearing parts will be seriously worn and the processing effect will be poor during use. Therefore, in the equipment configuration of basalt production line, the crushing equipment based on the lamination principle should be selected as much as possible to reduce the production loss of the equipment.
Basalt sand and gravel production line generally adopts three-stage or four-stage crushing configuration:\r\n\r\n1. Primary crushing – coarse crushing\r\n\r\nThe raw materials of the stones mined on the mountain are large in size and need to be crushed first. The machine used is usually jaw crusher. The jaw crusher can crush large stones to medium size (about 10-30cm) at one time.
2. Second stage crushing – medium and fine crushing\r\n\r\nBasalt has high hardness and is difficult to crush. In the selection of medium and fine crushing equipment, hydraulic cone crusher that adopts the principle of lamination crushing is usually selected, and the crushing effect between materials is used to reduce the impact and wear on machine parts.\r\n\r\nThe double cone crusher combination of single-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher and multi-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher can be used to share the loss of the machine, optimize the particle size of the stone, and achieve greater output at the same time.\r\n\r\n3. Three-stage crushing – shaping and sand making\r\n\r\nIf you want to further crush the stones into mechanism sand, you can add three stages of crushing, that is, the shaping sand-making link, which can not only shape the stones, but also crush some needle-shaped stones and wastes with poor particle shape. To make mechanism sand, a production line can produce sand and stone at the same time.\r\n\r\nFor basalt, a high-hardness stone, its sand-making equipment mostly uses sand making machine, using the principle of “stone-on-stone” to achieve further crushing through the force of impact between stones.
