Vertical mills are widely used in cement, steel plants and other industries due to their advantages of energy saving, environmental protection, high yield and high quality. At the same time, vertical mills handle various of materials, including various industrial slags such as slag, steel slag and nickel slag, and cement clinker, limestone, fly ash, etc. So how does the vertical mill process these materials into powder?
As we all know, the main structure of vertical mill is composed of grinding roller device, grinding disc device, pressure device, powder separator, reducer, motor and shell. When the mill is running, the grinding roller is used as the grinding medium, and the grinding disc forms the material bed. The centrifugal force is used to realize the grinding by the interaction between the grinding roller and the grinding disc.
The specific process is:
The material falls to the center of the grinding disc via discharge tube. The grinding disc, which rotates at a constant speed, uniformly disperses and spreads the raw materials outward by the action of centrifugal force to form a material bed with a certain thickness. The material is simultaneously crushed by multiple grinding rollers on the grinding disc.Under the continuous drive of centrifugal force, the material continuously moves to the outer edge of the grinding disc. The material leaving the grinding disc encounters the hot gas entering the mill through the air ring and rises accordingly, and enters the powder separator through the middle shell of the mill. During this process the medium material and the hot gas have undergone sufficient heat exchange, and the water is quickly evaporated. The powder separator controls the fineness of the finished product at the exit of the roller mill. The particles larger than the specified size are separated and fall back to the grinding disc. The materials that meet the fineness requirements enter the finished product warehouse through the separator.
Whether the vertical mill can run smoothly and at high speed has a direct impact on the grinding capacity of the mill. Therefore, the operator should check and repair the vertical mill in good time during the use of the vertical mill, so that the mill can give full play to the best grinding ability.
