Key Crushing Equipment in Iron Ore Processing Lines
*Primary Crushers: Jaw Crushers
Jaw crushers are the workhorses of primary crushing. They use compressive force to break down large ore blocks into manageable sizes (typically 150–250 mm).
It’s ideal for hard and medium-hard iron ores, such as hematite and magnetite.
*Secondary Crushers: Cone Crushers
Function: After primary crushing, cone crushers further reduce ore size to 20–50 mm.
It is commonly used for processing harder ores or ores with high silica content.
*Tertiary Crushers: Impact Crushers or Vertical Shaft Impactors (VSI)
Function: For ores requiring ultra-fine pre-grinding preparation, tertiary crushers produce particles as small as 5–10 mm.
It often used in conjunction with screening systems to ensure uniform feed for grinding mills.
